This beginner-friendly workshop offers an introduction to physical programming with the micro:bit - a small programmable computer with more than 10 adaptable physical features. In session 1 you'll use the micro:bit to programme your own digital exercise machine, like a FitBit.
What you'll learn:
Get to grips with drag and drop coding to control the micro:bit
Understand the many functions of the micro:bit
Create a digital exercise machine using the accelerometer function
You'll be given a micro:bit starter kit to create your digital exercise machine, which you can take home after the session. This can continue to be used to monitor fitness or re-coded using the many online resources available.
*Join us in session 2 to create a prototype casting for your micro:bit and experiment with wearable technology*
